Before finding Cabbage, or even each other, we had each spent a lot of time escaping to the woods. Jessi even lived off the grid on 160 acres of Alaskan wilderness for several years in the late 70's and early 80's. Finding each other in 2015 was the beginning of getting both of us out of the city, back to the woods where we thrive.

We became owner/stewards of Cabbage Canyon in 2020, just at the beginning of the pandemic. With the world around us going mad, we were able to escape to Cabbage and begin the process of building, restoring, and preserving, not only this lovely piece of lesbian herstory, but ourselves as well.
